Tuesday Bible Thought

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

This Sunday we are starting a new teaching series in jhi. Our goal is to give them a brief overview of the Bible in seven weeks. I think the beginning is the best place to start. G-d made all the stuff in the universe. He created matter, systems, gravity, particles, and atoms. He came to be a part of his creation, that much is evident from the scriptures.

In Genesis he walks in the garden.

In the rest of the Torah G-d selects a people to build him a place (ark) to physically dwell in.

Later in the Story, G-d requires a temple in order to live WITH the people.

In the Christian Testament (Matthew -> Revelation), we see the direction of the creator is to live with his creation.

From beginning to end, G-d's posture is towards the mess, the pain, the heartache, and His people. No matter what your circumstance is, The L-rd is with you, even if you don't know it. You never have been, are not now, and never will be alone.
