Resourcing Your Vision

A couple of posts ago I brought up the idea of fundraisers and financial stewardship that Steve Kelly from Wave Church taught about at the ILM conference. Here are the things I took away from the teaching:

• Don't keep adding to your staff. Create a volunteer culture.
• Don't budget faith! (I took this to say, "Don't be stupid.")
• See yourself as a leader around your leaders. Don't feel awkward around them because they need you too!

One of the biggest things I've had to grow in since moving to shoreline was to overcome my feelings of intimidation. There are so many great people around here that I can feel small and insignificant.

I need to be more comfortable in my own skin.
