Ah, sweet humility.

This is actually the first rejection e-mail that I've ever received. I applied to be an featured blogger of Fuller Seminary. I bet it was because I had too many pictures of Ella or perhaps that I've yet to sign up for a class! Here's a taste.

"...Thank you so much for your application to become a Fuller blogger!  The
response we had this year was overwhelming.  Our team has reviewed all the
applications and made our decisions.

We regret to inform you that you were not selected to be one of the Fuller
bloggers for the 2010-11 academic school year.  We realize this was not the
decision you were hoping to hear, but know that each application was
carefully reviewed to form a unique group of bloggers to represent the
multitude of voices we have at Fuller Seminary.

Again, we thank you very much for taking the time to apply. We're always
looking for fresh, new voices to fill the Fuller Blogger pages, so keep us
in mind next year if you would like to blog (as a student or alumni).

Blessings and have a wonderful school year!

Sincerely,"

At any rate, I think it was a good 32 year run of no rejection letters. Perhaps I'll start another?

1 rejection every 32 years isn't bad :)
