Thoughts From A Jury Duty Break

Last week I opened a letter calling me to Jury duty. It's a duty so many people try to get out of, but most admit philosophically a jury is extremely important.

I'm not a lawyer, a clerk, or a bailiff, but I play a part. I like that my qualification is tied to my citizenship and not training, degrees or experience. I feel small but aware of the part I have to play. This is a good lesson for life and a concrete example of:

1 Corinthians 12 verse 12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.
