New Axial Age

I'm starting to blog before bed, but I'm posting from my phone. So I'm sorry for any strange spelling mistakes.

Tonight, I have some more thoughts from Where God Was Born by Bruce Feiler.

In the passage I just finished reading, he explains that in the historical period between Moses and Jesus organized religion was born. I was reminded that this age wasn't limited to judism or Christianity. This time period also gave birth to the major religions in Asia and Europe as well as the Middle East.

He also explores the idea that we are in a second axial age. The world is in flux. There is constant threat of religious war. There is an emerging Church culture that rethinks religion and spirituality and we get to participate in the discussion.
